Tears entering the mouth during fasting does not affect the fast. According to the comprehensive rulings of the jurists, if tears drip into the mouth, and along with saliva, are swallowed, the fast is not invalidated. However, if the tears were so abundant that they dominated over saliva, and their saltiness was felt throughout the mouth, then the fast would be broken, and Qaza (making up for the missed fast) would be necessary.
